MY 3D MODELS

This is page are all the 3D models I have made throughout the years. These models mostly made from Blender software because of its ease of access and bountiful tutorials online to assets in learning. I have use Maya multiple times throughout the years, and have few models, but this is before my understanding on unwrapped and texturing. Nevertheless, through blender I have better understand modelling, texturing, unwrapped, topology and animation.

Large Scale project

This project is created in my modelling elective in which we must create a scene/environment in where items are placed. My scene is Star War: Clone war with vehicle, gadget and weapon scene in Battlefield: V, the image below is the final render of the scene.

Overall, this project greatly help me in improving my understand of topology, baking, UV wrapping and texturing models.

Knowledges from this assignment has widely used in all future projects. This also allow me to have greater improve my skill using Adobe Substance Painter

ITEMS

Many weapons in Star Wars are WW2 weapons with extra attachments or mix mash together to create is recognizable but also unique designs, which is something I want to capture with weapons that only appear in Battlefield V. Many of the colour scheme on the items are two resemble the weapon/item from Star Wars.

Heavy Blaster

This weapon is based on the WW2 imperial Japanese Type 97 LMG, changing the magazine placement, adding gripes, extra muzzle to make it  look sci-fi.

Grenade

This grenade are based on 3 different grenades in-game. the inteira are 2 Hafthohlladung H3.5 and the outer layer are  based on Type 99 mines

Heavy Repeater

This weapon is based on Browning M2HB stationary gun in Battlefield V mixed with Heavy Repeating Blaster from Star Wars.

Helmet

The helmet is base on the Ratburner headgear set from the German side. This helment have added accessory that are commonly seen in on Star Wars' Clone troopers

Blaster Pistol

This is based on Nambu Model 1 submachine gun, with extra parts added and removed and place a scope which appears on many blasters pistols.

Walker

An AT-TE type of vehicle that is mixed off Type 97 turret and LVT hull design,

Ammo Crate

This crate is base on Ammo crate lay around in the environment, the colour palettes are from Star Wars crates.

Medic Box

This box is mainly based on BFV's medic box with additional attachments and canister to add the sci-fi visual.

Sniper

Sniper Blaster base on the Panzerbüchse 39 anti-tank rifle, with receiver and magazine from Ag m/42.

Carbine

This is mainly based on the M3 Grease Gun. with hand grips from G36 and stock from M4 rifles.

Prototype SMG

First model I have every properly UV unwrapped and texture. The overall result is a very simple model and inefficient UV layout with many materials. But it has helped me to properly understand how the fundamental texturing works.

Rail Gun

Date: 2024

​

This is the second properly modelled game object after my 3D scene project. This model is used for the my first Unreal project "Crash Zone". The design is heavily inspired by the rail gun in the movie "Elysium" (2013).

XSG-12

This is another gun I have modelled for my individual project. This weapon is base on the saiga 12 shotgun, it's a bit more complicated model then my previous models to push my UV unwrapping skill. Overall, it looks quite good but the texture I made could be better.

Characters of Sepulchre

This are the first character models I made and rigged for a game. I think the went quiet well, this in this project I learnt a lot more about clean topology that looks and great for deformation and a stronger understanding on who bone rigging works and how to create ideal bone weight.

Rooikat105

This is the second vehicle model I have made. This Rooikat 105 was made when I had limited knowledge of unwrapping and texture, so the model topology was messy.

 

Although the model is simple in design. It still taught me some complex modelling techniques.

Type 10
MBT

This vehicle is one of my favourite main battle tank, so I was very eager to create it myself and use it for my personal game project.

​

I used many of the skills I've learnt modelling and shader elective to help in creating this MBT.

​

Overall, this took me 1 month on and off, although there are some inaccuracies in the design and the use of texture, I am still very proud of what I have created.

ZBD-04A

This another military vehicle I have modelled. using the knownledges I learnt from my previous project. I desingn this model with more complexity. this model has a higher poly count about I was animing for accuracy of the real vehicle over the poly budget. It came out decent althought texturing it something I still need to improve on.
